Un zapato de golf de piel es uno de los pocos elementos del equipo de golf que mejora con los a\u00f1os, pero solo si se cuida. La rutina lleva cinco minutos despu\u00e9s de cada vuelta y diez minutos al mes, y marca la diferencia entre un par que dura dos temporadas y otro que dura diez. Aqu\u00ed tienes la rutina completa, paso a paso.<\/p>\n

Despu\u00e9s de cada vuelta: cinco minutos<\/h2>\n

Cepilla el barro y la hierba mientras a\u00fan est\u00e1n blandos.<\/strong> El barro seco extrae la humedad de la piel y deja marcas. Basta con un cepillo duro y un pa\u00f1o h\u00famedo.<\/p>\n

Limpia la suela y revisa los pinchos.<\/strong> En los zapatos con pinchos, limpia los alojamientos de hierba y arena; en los sin pinchos, cepilla los tacos.<\/p>\n

S\u00e9calos despacio.<\/strong> Afloja los cordones, tira de la leng\u00fceta hacia delante, pon hormas (de cedro si tienes, si no, papel de peri\u00f3dico) y d\u00e9jalos a temperatura ambiente. Nunca sobre un radiador ni dentro de un coche caliente. El calor agrieta la piel y debilita la uni\u00f3n entre la suela y el empeine.<\/p>\n

Cada pocas vueltas: nutre la piel<\/h2>\n

Cuando los zapatos est\u00e9n limpios y secos, aplica una peque\u00f1a cantidad de crema para piel en el empeine con un pa\u00f1o suave, deja que penetre y saca brillo. Usa una crema neutra en los zapatos blancos y bicolor, y una crema del mismo tono en el marrones<\/a> y el negro. As\u00ed la piel se mantiene flexible y el acabado hidr\u00f3fugo sigue funcionando; la piel Lambda se trata durante el curtido para repeler el agua, y la crema mantiene ese acabado en lugar de sustituirlo.<\/p>\n

Zapatos blancos<\/h2>\n

El blanco pide un poco m\u00e1s: limpia las manchas de hierba el mismo d\u00eda con un pa\u00f1o h\u00famedo y una gota de jab\u00f3n suave, s\u00e9calos y despu\u00e9s aplica una crema blanca o una neutra bien pulida. Evita la lej\u00eda y las esponjas “m\u00e1gicas”, que eliminan el acabado.<\/p>\n

Pinchos<\/h2>\n

Revisa los pinchos blandos una vez al mes durante la temporada. Cambia los que est\u00e9n desgastados, agrietados o falten; un juego completo es econ\u00f3mico, y los zapatos Lambda con pinchos, como el Roma, incluyen un juego de pinchos y una llave. Los pinchos gastados te hacen resbalar, y los resbalones fuerzan el empeine.<\/p>\n

Almacenaje<\/h2>\n

Con hormas, cordones flojos y en un lugar seco y ventilado. Ni en la bolsa de golf ni en una caja cerrada si est\u00e1n h\u00famedos. Si los guardas durante el invierno, l\u00edmpialos y n\u00fatrelos antes.<\/p>\n

Lo que no debes hacer<\/h2>\n

No laves los zapatos de golf de piel a m\u00e1quina. No uses calor para secarlos. No uses disolventes ni productos de limpieza dom\u00e9sticos en el empeine. No dejes los zapatos mojados en el coche. Cada una de estas cosas es una forma habitual de acabar antes de tiempo con un buen par.<\/p>\n

Impermeabilidad<\/h2>\n

Todos los zapatos Lambda tienen una membrana impermeable y transpirable entre el empeine y el forro, con un a\u00f1o de garant\u00eda en condiciones normales de uso, y piel tratada para repeler el agua. No necesitas volver a impermeabilizarlos con sprays; mantener la piel limpia y nutrida es lo que conserva la barrera.
